‘Europe-‐Africa security cooperation: a Nordic dimension?’

Workshop at the University of Southern Denmark Conference room: O98 , Campusvej 55, 5230 Odense 30 November 2012

This workshop on ‘Europe-‐Africa security cooperation: a Nordic dimension?’ will take
place at the University of Southern Denmark on 30 November 2012. The event is intended
to initiate the establishment of a network of scholars and practitioners working with European foreign, security and defence policies and/or the new African peace and security architecture. The purpose of the workshop is three-‐fold: firstly, to examine Nordic perspectives on security cooperation between Europe and Africa, which have so far been underexplored; secondly, to bring together Northern European and African scholars to explore the potential for future collaborative research activities in this realm; and thirdly,to introduce the Nordic research and practitioners communities to some of the leading international scholars and practitioners in the field. For more information or to participate please contact Dr Annemarie Peen Rodt (apr@sam.sdu.dk).
